There are very few such events in Oakdale. We were having one the following Saturday. But I saw the announcement in NorCal Car Culture (an online newsletter of West Coast car events) about a show in Oakdale, so I polished up the Mustang and off I went. I'm quite familiar with Oakdale and knew the spot. F Street is the main drag through town and every time I drove by I'd see the owner's '58 T-bird out front. Nice.
When I showed up, there were maybe 8 cars there and a nice little collection, I must say. Three awesome Challengers, two modern, one classic, a VW Beetle, a Toyota Supra, a Rambler with a 401 and that white '58 T-bird. I pulled my '05 Mustang GT in and settled in. The owner of Monkey Smog, a nice guy named Chris, hosted a nice little event. He had coffee. 13 cars showed up by the end, including a Viper and a wicked Lambo.
All that Chis does at Monkey Smog is smogs, so the next time you need a smog go check him out at Monkey Smog, 217 W. F Street, Oakdale, (209) 595-6293. He is famous for his $40 smogs, out-the-door!

It's the Mopar Mafia, as I call them. Great people and wickedly-fast cars.

Talk about eclectic: A Rambler, a VW Beetle and a Lamborghini! Quite a nice turnout.

Monkey Smog owner and host showed off his '58 Thunderbird, looking sharp outside, and under the hood was a Gen 2 Coyote!
