209 Hot Rod Events stages another coup last Saturday at Modesto's own Silos. The Silos is just that, a former silo used in agriculture that has now been converted to a trendy bar and restaurant with a huge parking lot. Big enough for at least 300 cars at this event (that's my estimate). Jim Nolan of 209 Hot Rod Events really knows how to put one on. It was on Saturday, October 17, 2026, on the same day as the Fall Blitz Car Show at Castle Air Museum in Atwater. A few of us went there and that show was a total bust. Very few cars and even fewer planes. We were expecting to park are cars under the wings of fighter planes, but instead we were parked in a row near some old planes in the back. We left and came to Cars and Chrome at the Silos, and I'm glad we did. What a show.

ABOVE: Me (Andy) and the legendary Jim Nolan of 209 Hot Rod Events. Thank you Jim for putting on one helluva show!
BELOW: This is what the silos at The Silos looks like. You should see inside.

ABOVE: The show drew about 300 cars and lots and lots of happy people. Great job, Jim.
BELOW: I mentioned the insides of the Silos. Well here's part of it. This cool bar highlights these pipes that run all over the place. It was part of the processing system they used when this was still a silo for grain. Don't know what they did before but now they're a centerpiece.
