Valley Classics Car Club had its first club event on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in the form of a Cars & Coffee in Oakdale. The location was the parking lot of the abandoned Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1300 W. F Street in Oakdale. 25 cars showed up in all and everyone had a good time. Lots of cool cars, and nice people who love cars. So, let's get to the cars.
Showing the breadth of our taste in cars were Bill's '69 Chevelle, the '77 K5 Blazer and one sweet Triumph Spitfire .
I call these guys the Mopar Mafia. I hope they don't mind. I think they like Dodge Challengers. A classic and 3 modern Challengers, one a Demon. They go everywhere together. I saw them a couple of weeks ago parked together just like this at the Cars & Coffee at Monkey Smog.
What show is complete without a '55 Bel Air? Loved the car. Born in '55 myself, and having a '55 Nomad for many makes these cars especially meaningful to me. Great looking car, and the engine sounded fantastic! Thanks for bringing it, Rick.
And talk about a wicked-sounding engine, Mike's 1952 Kaiser Henry J was rockin'! Powered by a built Chevy 383 stroker.
Eddie's '54 Mercury looked great, and since Eddie does custom upholstery, the interior was amazing!
This ultra-rare 1964 Oldsmobile 44s convertible was very original, other than the period-correct Amercian Mags (I love those). Just 2,999 442 soft tops were built in '64.
Fellow Valley Classics Founder, Darren brought his sweet '65 Chevy C10 Stepside. And next to it is John's lovely '72 Monte Carlo.
This is my (Andy's) 2005 Mustang GT. I just went through it last year. New paint, blacked out some stuff, shaved some stuff, dropped it 1-1/2" and added those beautiful 19-inch Bullitt wheels.
This '56 Ford Ranch Wagon looks very much like Ford's take on the Chevy Nomad. Check out the slight rake to the B-pillar and those sliding rear windows.
My cousin, Adrian showed up with his lovely '68 El Camino, all the way from Stockton.
Talk about a sleeper, this '68 Mercury Marquis is powered by a Gen 2 Coyote with 6-speed auto, Art Morrison front suspension and loads more serious stuff, all neatly hidden under this very stock-looking car. I wonder how many people found that out the hard way.
Dan's unbelievable '69 Camaro SS/RS just drew people to it. It's gorgeous! Code 72 Hugger Orange, it doesn't get any better than that!
This super-clean C5 Corvette made the scene.
Another member of the Mopar Mafia, the white Challenger is an 2023 SRT Demon 170 with 850 hp to the rear wheels on pump gas! The owner said on E-85 it will make over 1,000!! Good for 8.91 seconds in the quarter-mile at 155 mph!!! These cars proved to be the fastest and most powerful Challengers ever built, and the last in a series of incredibly-fast supercharged Challengers starting with the 2015 Hellcat. Just 3,000 Demon 170s were built in one year only, 2023.
The heart of the beast... or, the Demon. Starting in 2018, the SRT Demon's 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi made 840 hp on race gas and tore through the quarter in a scant 9.65 seconds at 140 mph! Just 3,300 were built.
It's a good time to be alive when you can buy a new Challenger with a Hemi and a shaker hood. God bless America!
Mike & Lorena's 2017 Challenger RT looks great. I love that deep red against those black-chromed wheels and matte black hood.
Fellow Valley Classics Founder David brought his cool VW bus (the red one) and on his way to the show, this other lovely VW bus in lipstick red (actually she said it was from her nails) VW bus saw him and followed him to the show.

And we are taking this opportunity to announce something new for the next one: We'll be giving a trophy for the Peoples' Choice, and everyone in attendance will vote on the winner. It won't be anything grand, but hey, it's a trophy, right? If it works out, trophies may become a regular fixture at all future C&Cs.
